Overview
This map facilitates access to existing evidence on the impact of group-based livelihoods programs on household and individual economic, social and empowerment outcomes. It includes over 130 impact evaluations and systematic reviews, published and unpublished between January 1996 and April 2018. Authors included impact evaluations and systematic reviews that examined the effects of interventions providing financial, human or social capital directly or accessed them. This map has been produced with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Main findings
·         While the number of impact evaluations in this sector is large, it is concentrated in a limited number of interventions, outcomes and geographies. The focus has been mostly on the impact of financial interventions on economic outcomes.
·         Evidence gaps exist on the impacts of programmes that combine social and financial interventions on economic, social and empowerment outcomes.
·         Synthesis gaps exist in understanding impacts on income sources, debt, migration and social cohesion outcomes.
