Employment services

Employment services programmes are generally based on the (matching and) intermediation approach to active labour market policy. The basic idea for providing employment services to youth is that young workers have difficulty signalling their productivity and/or lack the networks or knowledge to effectively search for vacancies. Hence these programmes often focus on improving job-seeking skills and the efficiency of the matching process.
